Goes to Hapoel Haifa defender, Yisrael Cohen who last week was accused of throwing an Israeli Premier league game against Maccabi Haifa.
Why have investigators smelt a rat? Well check this out.
Apparently our mate Yisrael, 'Under the Table' to his mates, allegedly tried to foul opposition striker, Giovanni Rosso on three separate occasions in the penalty box in full view of the referee in the last 10 minutes of the game.
It was only when Cohen applied the 'figure four headlock' on Rosso on the third occasion that referee, Eran Frost, finally decided to give a spot kick that won the game for Maccabi 2-1 on the night.
"Even the third foul, which is the most blatant of the three, was an instinctive reaction. I didn't throw the match, I didn't bet, I didn't steal, murder or commit any crime, but I'm treated as if I did," said a sobbing Cohen on Israeli National TV after the allegation.
'Clumsy' Cohen or 'Connected' Cohen? You be the judge.
The Diegos guess it depends on whether your talking to his girlfriend or his match fixing mates. |
